  1. @Shanxif that were the case then it would be getting back Sith and Jedi, which we are going to eventually. The Gold Room isn't what made DarkRO popular. It was the custom classes and all the customizations the founders did to each and every job class for a more fun PvP experience.
  2. @Iroha I mean I get it and it's probably my fault for not getting to you about the recruitnent thing and addressing it properly in a private manner and I apologize for that. If that's something you actually really care about then you should probably message Dazzu about it and not me. I say a lot of this stuff because people want us to be transparent and not hide things from the public to know what's going on hence the topic of this in the forum. So if we didn't address it, people were going to be angry. Ironically even when we are addressing it seems some people are still being angry so for that I don't understand and will just have to live with it. I'm not a magician and things aren't going to come out right away due to circumstances that aren't in our control. The whole point of this topic was because we're moving forward with big news (Officially obtaining the old darkRO and all its data). I had an entire post addressing advertisement and if you did read it then you would know that we weren't going to fully go out until everything was ready. Even if we did want to do paid Facebook Advertisement we can't. Why? It's because our Facebook page was banned for an unexplained reason alongside with my personal Facebook account. So we couldn't even do it even if we wanted to. I get that you're frustrated and it's not a competition but everyone is frustrated. I don't know what else to tell you. Whether you still genuinely believe in us or not that's up to you. It's understandable if you don't but this is all I can do for now and that's addressing our future. It's better then saying nothing right? @Shanx The gold room was a terrible design and was easily a abuseable. Even if you look at our current treasure map room it's just bad since people just macro farm anyways. We already came up with ways to gain zeny in other manners which seems more proper and non abuseable somewhat.

  4. We've always been transparent and the reason why it feels like a beta is because we keep adding content. If we keep on adding content it kind of gives the effect of "This server is not complete because they always keep adding things." kind of like effect.. But that's because usually on other servers they're one and done and they don't have any other content to provide. That just means those servers aren't creative and can't provide anymore content than that. For our server we will always continue adding content throughout the years because we have a lot of creative ideas and that's going to be the way to keep the server alive. If you take a look at rebirth and all the other copies they're just the same crap over and over again and they can't even think of anything else. Most of their stuff they even copy Dazzus latest content. There will be scheduled events soon every week so look forward to it. Hopefully everyone is more informed now. Please look forward to our future because it will be bright I promise. If anyone still doesn't feel assured or have any unanswered questions and doubts I don't mind answering them. So don't be afraid to ask!
  5. @Arrow It was always a priority but like I mentioned before we're not going to advertise without having everything properly set up yet. Just because we have to advertise and get more people to play doesn't mean we shouldn't stop development. That is not being efficient with time. I understand players are frustrated but that doesn't mean the staff isn't feeling it the same way. We probably are more frustrated than all of you because we're the ones managing the server and having to deal with all these issues that don't go public. You can do both advertising and development at the same time. But right now we will be focusing on what I mentioned in my earlier posts. We're also heavily under staffed and I'm sure most know already. But we care and feel for the server than more anyone so you can count on us working hard for what we love. If that's not enough then I don't know what to tell you guys.
  6. Of course populating our server is going to be a big priority. I think everyone in general wants to play with more players because it'll be more fun interacting with more people. Having a big population in general can carry a server alone and a good example of that is DarkRO:Rebirth although the server is seriously lacking in terms of content, the player base keeps it alive. Unfortunately our Facebook alongside my Facebook account was banned recently and that made me depressed for the past couple of weeks. It sucks because I put a lot of my time and effort into that group and personally I talked to probably 70% of the server population one on one and recruited them to play the server. So along side with losing a lot of time I also lost my Facebook account connected with other people I talked to in my personal life which I cannot contact anymore. Hopefully it will be resolved within a few weeks but knowing how long it's taken so far it won't be for awhile. Anyways the plan for advertising would probably be something like this. 1. Paid advertising on RMS 2. Make a bunch of reddit posts on the Raganorok Online reddit 3. Try to reclaim or create a new Facebook Group and posting on various Facebook groups (There's about 14 groups I know this because I use to make a post about server to them everyday and that's how I got banned for some reason they didn't explain but that's how it happened smh) 4. Pay for Facebook advertisement 5. Find influencers(someone with a big following) or streamers to play our server or stream in general 6. Getting everyone just to review us on RMS for better ranking 7. Probably find a way to utilize the vote websites Yes, we want to do all of this but before we do I'd rather have our website, logo, and patcher to be done first before executing the plan. It sucks because corona stopped a lot of our past commission works and it put literally everything on hold or canceled altogether which is why we don't have a decent setup for everything yet. But we've recently got into contact with Haziel and he will help us out now. Hopefully if everything plays out fine then I'm confident that the server will be good enough to attract players to play for a long time. Hopefully this gives more insight and if not keep asking!
  7. Alright, I think everyone is going a bit ham due to some recent news. (Which is understandable.) I'll be honest I skimmed through most of the posts here but I can tell the back and forths were just recycling the same thing. I'll give some insight to what is going on because everyone is panicking. 1. Thank you to everyone who has sticked with us through the good and bad times. 2. We're not going to blow up the server. 3. Staff has been a little bit inactive for the past month due to personal issues but we're active now again. (My PC blew up recently though so I will be MIA on game at least) We will be a lot more organized once things are settled. 4. We will have some drastic changes within the game for better progression pacing as well as slowly adding new content that will give more life to progressing. (Relic Weapons, Relic Garments) 5. XIVRO is DarkRO now it always has been. XIVRO was just a placeholder name until we officially obtained the properties from the original Founder Momo and Matias. Where we are now is where DarkRO would've been or even further if we had full access to the server. 6. Website, Logo, Patcher, will soon be released as well as massive advertising of the server. We didn't try to advertise as much due to the lack of a decent website etc. 7. Soon we will also be working to transfer everything over to the 2018 client as well. 8. We have a lot of content to add still but it will take time. We'll be more thorough as well. Instead of updating every 2 weeks we will probably do it every 3-4 weeks or maybe even longer depending on the content. Maybe we can even set up a timeline for the year of what we're going to be working on. Hopefully this addresses most of everyone's concerns and I'm probably missing some things but at the end of the day we're doing this for server. The server will be online probably for the rest of our life time so there's no need to worry or not if the server is going to die. If you guys feel like I'm missing anything feel free to ask any questions.
  8. @BaTaS#0565 It was fixed but it affected every other skill and it made WS do 100k Cart Termination so we reverted it. It will take a little bit longer to adjust it properly.

    Battlegrounds XIVRO's Battleground is designed to test the abilities of players in a team-style battle as they compete with one another for honor, victory, and prizes! The objective of Battlegrounds is to compete toward set objectives in each round mode in order to win agaisnt their opposing team in a PVP-style battle using War of Emperium mechanics. This guide will take you through the basic mechanics of XIVRO's Battleground System, including how to register, match gameplay, awarding of badges, and how badges may be redeemed for Battlegrounds prizes. Let the battle begin! Make sure to not miss Happy Hours as the rates be up to x5 of your reward earnings! Earn up to 25 Steadfast Badges when you win and 15 Steadfast Badges when you lose. Happy Hours (Server Time EDT) 01:00 - 02:00 06:00 - 07:00 12:00 - 13:00 19:00 - 20:00 Steadfast Badge Commands @joinbg - Puts you in the Battlegrounds queue. All buffs/debuffs will be removed upon joining and, of course, you can only do this in Towns or BG Lobby. @leavebg - You can use this command to leave the game and area if you feel like you don't want to play anymore or have to go. @reportafk - If a player is away for 10 minutes you can use this command to vote to kick them off the game. Basics Players must be level 255 to join Battlegrounds. The matches have various player number requirements; enough players must be assembled before matches can begin. Players can join in the match while it's ongoing at anytime, with the exception of Kriger von Midgard where dropping in is only allowed during the preparation phase. Participation in battlegrounds is rewarded with Steadfast Badge. These badges can be exchanged for various rewards at the Battlegrounds Lobby. The badges are account-bound. When a match starts, one player at random in each team is chosen to be the Team Leader. The Leader has access to the Guild Skills through @guildskill When a player dies in a match, there is a delay before player can re-enter the match, they can click the Return to Battle NPC to do so. The Healer NPC provides access to storage, regaining your mount and equipment repairs. Conquest and Krieger von Midgard have a few differences, read their sections below for more details. The battlegrounds follow War of Emperium mechanics rather than regular PvP mechanics. How to join You may join the Battlegrounds queue by using the @joinbg command. You automatically queue up for all modes, but the game will only look for players for one mode at a time, the current mode is displayed in chat. The modes will keep rotating until the minimum amount of players to start the current mode is reached. You can also find Elena in Prontera city and she will warp you to the battlegrounds area to find the NPC that gives you rewards! Battlegrounds Warper Prontera (163, 171) Game modes Triple Inferno Requires 9 players to start. Players are randomly split into three even teams: Red Team, Blue Team, Green Tea. The objective is to score 30 points. If the time runs out, the team with most points wins. The Winner gets 5 Steadfast Badges, the loser gets 3 Steadfast Badges. On death, players will drop one skull of their own team color alongside ANY other skulls they may have on them. Any player can pick them up as if they were normal items. Each team spawns next to two pillars. If you have enemy skulls, you can touch the pillars (just pass by them 1-2 cell range) to turn them into points. Skulls of your own team color cannot be turned to points. Picking them up merely serves to prevent the enemy from capturing them. (You will still drop them on death) Emergency Call is disabled in this game mode. Capture the Flag Requires 10 players to start. Players are randomly split into two even teams: Red Team and Blue Team. The objective is to capture the enemy's flag. If the time runs, out the game is tied. The winners get 5 Steadfast Badges, the losers get 3 Steadfast Badges. Each team spawns with a crystal / flag in their base. Any player can touch their enemy's flag to take it with them. You capture the flag by taking it to your own flag while it's resting at your base. If an enemy has taken the flag, you cannot capture until it's properly returned. When the flag carrier dies, the flag will be dropped on the spot where the carrier died. If an allied player touches it, they will again take it. If an enemy player touches it, it automatically returns to their base. Flag carriers cannot use healing items or skills and they also have their movement speed reduced (Cannot be increased or decreased further) and will constantly use the /help emote. Emergency Call is disabled in this game mode. Stone Control Requires 10 players to start. Players are randomly split into two even teams: Red Team and Blue Team. The objective is to score 50 points. If the time runs out, the team with the most points will win. The winner gets 5 Steadfast Badges, the losers get 3 Steadfast Badges. Each team spawns with 6 black spots in their base, these are slots to put Stones in. Stones will start to give your team points if they're dropped on these. More stones, more points. (Just touch the spots to capture the stone) When the stone carriers dies, the stone will be dropped on the spot where carrier died. If any players touches it, they will take it. Stone carriers cannot use potions or skills and they also have their movement sped reduced (Cannot be increased or decreased further) and will constantly use the /help emote. Conquest Requires 10 players to start. Players are randomly split into two even teams: the attacking team and the defending team. The objective of the attacking team is to destroy the Emperium. The defending team wins if they successfully defend the castle until time runs out. The winners get 5 Steadfast Badges, the losers get 3 Steadfast Badges. The mode is played on a random War of Emperium: Second Edition castle. The game mode is essentially WoE with shorter duration and the randomly arranged teams. The match's timer extends when the attacking team successfully destroys a set of Barricades or destroy a Guardian Stone. On death, the player will automatically return to battle after some time passes, unlike other modes where clicking the Return to Battle NPC will send you back whenever you want. Conquest holds some differences from regular War of Emperium: Team Leaders cannot repair Barricades or Guardian Stones. Krieger von Midgard Requires 10 players to start. Players are randomly split into two even teams: Red Team and Blue Team. The objective is to kill all players in the enemy team. If the time runs out, the team with the most players alive will win. The winners get 5 Steadfast Badges, the losers get 3 Steadfast Badges. Each team spawns in a small preparation room where they can prepare for battle. Players other than the initial 6 can only drop-in the game during this period (Through @joinbg). On death, players are returned to the preparation room to await the battle's result and receive their rewards. Emergency Call is disabled in this game mode. Guardian Battle Players are randomly split into two even teams: Red Team and Blue Team. A guardian will spawn at the base of each team at the beginning of the round. The objective is to destroy the enemy guardian before your guardian is destroyed. The first team that destroys the enemy Guardian wins the round. Guardians do not move, but have a large attack range with a few skills. Two Ballistic Archers will spawn in the middle of the map. Players may bring supplies to these Archers to launch a heavy attack at the enemy guardian. If both guardians are still alive at the end of 8 minutes, the round will end with a tie.     We'll have separate PvP warpers in the future. The fields we have right now are for hang out spots. I've been on servers before where the PK is completely off and what ends up happens is it gets completely empty and no one goes in it. Everyone would just chill in the city.. so yeah. We'll have GvG warper and Sinx Arena in the future though with some PVP warper probably for some sort of point system for ranking.
  11. Yo what's up I'll try to answer some things here or +1 your feedback. PVP Stuff 1.1. We try not to add XIV Point rewards in PVP arenas or areas in general because it's easily going to be abuse the system to get points. But we are going to add battlegrounds next big patch which will give you points and other rewards! There's going to be many game modes in battlegrounds and there will be a queue system so players can join it from anywhere with @joinbg. There's going to be a happy hour where you will be able to obtain points and rewards on it which will give incentive for people to keep queuing up for it. In terms of of PVP stuff we're going to have mainly for the server is.. WoE v1 WoE v2 Super Novice WoE (We will add the enhanced version which is Super Novice with 2nd job skills). Battlegrounds (Many game modes). 1.2. We were going to probably increase the rewards and bump guild-less players out of the castle. Probably what we gonna do is add reward points to everyone who participated in it and some extra conqueror boxes. Not sure yet. 1.3. We're going to be strictly giving out Remnant of War and the other items to create the custom sets through instances. We're going to be adding more instances from Pre-Renewal and Renewal so watch out for that! We might make custom WoE set though that you can earn via WoE points like you mentioned but still need to think on the process. 2. WoE/PVP rank we will be adding we're also going to add it to our website alongside MVP rank if it's possible not too sure if it is yet. The suggestion with showing the breaker, castle and guild is good too. +1 3. This is also a good idea we were thinking about but we're trying to find a way to make not abuse-able but we'll keep thinking about the process and let you guys know to give feedback about it. Maybe we will find ways to get points to use on costume box or a separate reward. +1 4. I will bring this up to Dazzu I would like more opinions on it though if people think the same way since we just released it. 5. Rewarding bug catchers is a good incentive as well. We will think of a reward for that +1. As for social media and advertisement we're starting to that now. At least on the Facebook end I've been doing a lot of re-posting on advertisement pages and talking to players one-on-one. For instagram we'll still need to make that i'm not sure if there's a following on there I think it's mostly facebook. For streaming I don't know we'll see probably better to think of a program for that once we get more players. On that note, in the future we will be making a topic post regarding bug fixes and adding content. It's a lot of stuff but hopefully it will keep everyone more informed on our future and what we're going to do. This way as well you guys can keep giving us feedback and you could even dispute if you think a change is too much or wrong. Some people think we are thinking biased but that's not true we always go for common ground because it's better if many people have an opinion to create a great idea! So don't be shy and thanks @blackouT for this topic it helped me think about some things and ideas.
  12. @Obi Yeah we were adding them slowly one by one well even though some of them aren't really an "instance" but more like a quest line (i.e. Nydhog and Thanatos Tower) we were gonna do them all eventually but the idea was basically to try to upscale everything so it's fun. In terms rewards we were planning on distributing items and things for our custom armor sets (Warmonger, Balance, Fortress). Also opening test server to people probably a good idea to help test we will try that once we add some more content.
  13. @Obi we were planning on adding all the instances already. It just that there's a lot of work ATM so it's taking a bit of time.. We'll be adding all pre-renewal and renewal instances as we keep moving forward. (We will test it a lot first before releasing)
